GEM Field Trip!
Students had the opportunity to hear the stories of local women who work in careers often considered non-traditional for women. From science and engineering to technology and industry, from entreprenership to leadership and law enforcement, these women have found their careers to be hugely rewarding. These women shared the many facets of their careers and inspired the girls to explore a career path that is less traditional!
This activity was sponsored by the Lawrence County School-to-Work program and ninth grade females from each area school district were invited to attend this event.
